Viruses like w32.Codered and w32.mydoom.b@mm disguise themselves by the same name explorer.exe and normally spreads through email attachments. Once you open the attachment it accesses emails from system and starts sending them out. In severe cases, the attackers can even steal sensitive data from your computer through these viruses.
